Sproatley Today

Sproatley is a popular village, situated in the  East Riding of Yorkshire, England approximately 7 miles (11 km) north-east of Hull city centre and 4 miles (6.4 km) north of Hedon at the junction of the B1238 and B1240 roads.

The B1238 Hull to Aldborugh road slices through the centre of the village in a series of curves, and, although the entrance roads appear narrow due to tree lines and buildings on either side of them, a sense of openness and space is soon evident as you enter the heart of the village.

Families here like the rural surroundings, clean air and quietness.  They thrive in the lively community and appreciate the closeness of the primary school.  Many who arrived in the 1970’s have remained after their children have grown up – some of their offspring, having since begun new families in the area.
